OTTAWAY ATTACKS SELSDON ROAD TRAFFIC DELAYS

Richard Ottaway, Conservative MP for Croydon South, has written to the Director of Planning in Croydon enquiring about the delay being caused by temporary traffic lights in Selsdon Road. The lights are in place to permit only one lane traffic flow around the area close to a crumbling wall, adjacent to the railway bridge.

Richard Ottaway says:-

"A number of constituents have contacted me to complain about delays to their journeys of up to 45 minutes caused by these temporary traffic lights in Selsdon Road."

"These lights have been in place for a number of weeks. No-one seems to be taking any steps to improve the situation and I have written to the Director of Planning requesting that something be done to get things back to normal. Urgent action is needed."

ends.
