Minister takes four months to say Cane Hill not for sale

Minister of Health, Jacqui Smith MP, has informed Richard Ottaway, Conservative MP for Croydon Southm, that it would be premature to sell Cane Hill

Richard Ottaway says:-

"The Minister has made it quite clear that consideration is still being given to building the MSU at Cane Hill. This is profoundly depressing news to those of us who want to see it developed for other use. It is high time the Labour Council used its influence with the Labour Government and came up with alternative proposals for the Cane Hill site."
