OTTAWAY TO ATTEND SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

Richard Ottaway, Conservative MP for Croydon South, will be attending a special meeting of Croydon Council on 28th April, requisitioned by the Conservative Group in Croydon, to debate the education funding crisis in the Borough.

Richard Ottaway says:-

"This crisis is deepening with many schools facing a budget deficit this year. I will be attending this special meeting to show my support for the Conservative Group who are calling on the Council to re-think their budget. The Council is involved in some huge contracts. By rephrasing payments on some of these contracts, additional funds could be made available for the borough's schools and this impending crisis would be averted."

"A child's education can't wait - once the opportunity is missed it is missed forever."

Ends.
