Cricketing First for Croydon

On Wednesday 13th August Richard Ottaway, Conservative MP for Croydon South, will be attending the Surrey v Nottinghamshire 1st Class County Cricket match to be held at Whitgift School from 13-16 August.

Richard Ottaway says:-

"This will be the first 1st Class County cricket game ever held in Croydon. It is a tribute to Whitgift School that they have a ground of County standard which they have persuaded Surrey to use."

"Surrey's normal ground is at the Oval and the only other venue currently used is in Guildford. We will all have our fingers crossed that the weather holds and a good match is enjoyed by the people of Croydon"
