Ottaway visits Coulsdon TA unit

Date Filed:  Friday, November 27, 2009

Richard Ottaway, Conservative MP for Croydon South, has visited 41 Signal Squadron at their base in Marlpit Lane, Coulsdon, this week.

Richard said:

“The Government has recently announced the re-structuring of Territorial Army (TA) Signal Regiments. As a result of this process 41 Signal Squadron, based at Coulsdon, has been reformed under the command of 38 Signal Regiment.

“I was delighted to hear that the restructuring has gone well and was impressed with all the specialised work this unit is actively engaged in both in the UK and on active service in Afghanistan.

“TA members have repeatedly demonstrated their commitment and service to the TA and to this country and I am proud to have such an effective well respected unit in my constituency.”
