Ottaway Congratulates Whitgift School on Outstanding Sporting Success!
Richard Ottaway, Conservative MP for Croydon South, is thrilled with the result of the Schools Under 18 Rugby Cup Final, held at Twickenham this afternoon, which saw Whitgift School beat RGS Newcastle in an exciting match.
Richard said:
“This was a fantastic result and I was proud to be in the stadium seeing our Croydon boys win so comprehensively. I pay tribute to the team, the coaching staff, the school and all the boys’ families for their outstanding contributions in achieving such notable rugby success.
“It is quite clear that with the Under 12 Football Team in the national football final at Stamford Bridge and the Hockey Team also in their national final, we are seeing the emergence of Whitgift School as a centre of sporting excellence.
“My warmest congratulations to all involved!”
